Sue Renner's love for creative expression comes out of an adventurous spirit and appreciation for uniqueness. She is inspired by how colors and texture appear in nature: the cool fluidity of a waterfall flanked by smooth rocks and rugged pines, soft meadow grass peppered with wildflowers, jagged cliffs dropping into deep blue-green ocean.

Sue worked in the high-tech corporate culture for many years and balanced that with other endeavors: grass-roots travel through South America, India & Africa; earning a graduate degree in counseling psychology; embracing the Santa Cruz lifestyle, and surfing as a spirit connection and metaphor for living life.

Sue founded Suzie Jewels while on a haitus from the high-tech world, renewing her passion for creativity. She typically has some kind of project going - whether it be painting, gardening, ceramics, carpentry, or something new - and delves into it with clarity and presence. She designs jewelry 'in flow' with a simple elegance... alluding to the unique facets of each of us.
